For about two years, the team there has been working hard on formalizing a special agreement with the government healthcare institution (CCSS) necessary for the full participation of Costa Rica on all the WP involved in the project.
Last Thursday, September 7th, Dr. Randall Alvarez, Medical Manager from CCSS officially signed the International Collaborative Agreement CCSS-SELNET previously signed by Dr. Javier Martin-Broto, Coordinator from SELNET. This is in fact a great moment for the SELNET team but a truly historical event for Costa Rica to keep participating in Sarcoma studies and improving diagnosis and treatment of patients as well as increasing the general knowledge about them.
